Born and raised in Maesteg, Scott Hill’s career has taken him from Wales to senior technology and transformation roles with global names including IBM, Accenture, Dyson, Diageo and Versace, before returning to Wales and becoming Chief Technology Officer at Hodge Bank.

At our next Tech Talk Wales, Scott will share the experiences and lessons that have shaped his career, from leading transformation across very different organisations and navigating technological change, to bringing people with you on the journey.

Expect an informal and insightful evening of honest stories, practical lessons and conversation for anyone working in, or simply passionate about, technology, transformation and leadership.

Following Scott’s talk, Sarah Jones, CEO of FinTech Wales, will join our host Geoff Hancock for a broader chaired conversation with Scott, exploring some of the themes from his session and bringing additional perspectives to the discussion, before opening up to audience Q&A.

September Event Details

The second Tech Talk Wales event was a strong success, attracting 50 delegates, including CEOs, founders and senior decision-makers from across South Wales’ technology sector, alongside representatives from professional services, financial services and the public sector.

Hosted by Geoff Hancock, the evening featured an insightful presentation from Susannah Streeter, former BBC Business anchor and Chief Investment Strategist at Wealth Club, who explored the relationship between technology, investment and business growth.

Key highlights of the night’s presentation included:

The financial markets are volatile, and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future with ongoing U.S tariffs.
Venture Capital and investment is still there for those who seek it.
The US entrepreneurs are much more brash and confident communicating their businesses, The UK needs to be more confident presenting themselves.

The presentation was followed by an engaged and extended Q&A session, generating meaningful discussion and strong audience participation.

We were proud to launch Tech Talk Wales with our first event hosted on 18th June featuring guest speaker Charles Radclyffe – serial entrepreneur and recognised voice in digital ethics.
